After the trip to the opera, I wrote that I realised that I didn’t have enough personnel at the opera house. Things were tight, so I’m fairly sure that there wouldn’t have been anything like the numbers they have today. But I’ve added a cleaner, who lives near Otto and whose house is bombed. I’ve also added a couple of stage hands, one of whom comes to a sticky end. And I’m on track to finish the novel tomorrow:-)
