250314 Amberley’s Low-Side Window

250314_LR I had intended to try and do some serious hunting for today’s word, which is low-side window (‘In some medieval churches: a small window lower than the other windows and typically situated in the chancel’, OED). But a combination of a missing furniture delivery (broken-down van) and having fun (#Penny, #Wilcey) trumped all my good intentions. I therefore offer you Amberley church, which is not medieval – it’s 18th Century. And as for the chancel, I have no idea where that is, but this is a window that is lower than the others. Oh dear, if the OED is reading this, please can we have less obsolescence and less religion?

Day #84 of a 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by theĀ OED word of the day.
