Day 61 in the OED household and the project is not getting any easier … today’s word was afanc, which is ‘In Welsh mythology: an aquatic monster'(OED). You have to use a bit of imagination with this one! Maybe tomorrow’s word will be a tad easier to find *in hope*.
Edit to add that thicko of SW3 has just realised that it’s St David’s day, hence the Welsh angle. Soz to all those Welshies out there:-S
