Back in Vienna and a shock to the system weatherwise – cold, windy and snowing so a mug of hot grog at the Christmas market was required to warm the cockles. The market seems to have reached a new low in terms of taste this year. Traditionally there has been a nativity scene as the centre-piece, but this year there is a pair of angel wings and a halo with a space for wannnabe angels to stand and have their photos taken – and judging by the queues it’s pretty popular!
