I’m having a bit of a clear out and have done several runs to the charity shops and the tip, since the charity shops won’t take electrical items, so they just had to be hurled into a skip, where they smashed on impact. A trip to the tip is always a cathartic experience, but I’m sure more could be recycled if they had a tip shop. The men in fluorescent jackets get frightfully sniffy if you try and take someone else’s rubbish, but I almost cried when I saw all these wonderful picture frames being hurled into the ‘wood’ container. My suggestion therefore, to stop the land being overrun with rubbish as depicted in today’s pic, is that all rubbish should be displayed before being skipped, after all, one man’s meat is another man’s poison.
