The wonderful thing about fiction is making it up as you go along. One of my favourite operas is Norma, so I decided that it had to feature in the book. Franz is sorting out the programme for the season and is casting Norma, but sadness prevails as he remembers what happened to his star soprano at the beginning of the war. *sad face*
