Roadside crosses are always sad. This is the first one I’ve seen with the ‘Remember Me’ flower, but I find something rather awkward in the juxtaposition of the vibrancy of the printed red flower with the dead real flowers. On a lighter note, I was disappointed to see that the next exhibition is Delacroix … as I approached from a northerly direction and as the banner is rounded, I had a moment of excitement when I could only read the “acroix” and thought the next exhibition was going to be Christian Lacroix sweetie. My life has not been the same since the closing of the Sloane Street branch.
