180116 Turning Japanese

As this is outside a restaurant, it’s obviously food, but beyond that, the casual passer-by has no idea.  I googled “worst Japanese foods” to see just how bad this could be and the results were: intestines (I can cope with that); chicken cartilage (too crunchy for me); cod semen (no way, although that might have been potato soup lost in translation); fermented soya beans (surely alright to eat?); raw horse meat (yuk!).  On balance, I think we’ll give it a miss.
