Abbey-lubbers are thin on the ground in August, what with it being tourist season an’ all, so I thought I’d focus on the “indulgence” element of today’s word. I deliberately ordered a big slab of carrot cake with lots of buttery topping to show indulgence, but scoffed it before I remembered it was supposed to be my picture. Instead, we have this extraordinary door, which I think leads to a night-club, so plenty of indulgence going on there.
