221014 Murly Antipasto

Lucky MisterMac getting delicious antipasto during the week. I had to buy it especially to get today’s word (“murly” meaning ‘Of earth or (later chiefly) an item of food, esp. cheese: crumbly, friable. Also: composed of crumbly earth’, OED). If today’s word had meant ‘mouldy’ however, I could have found some suitable cheese and a rather disgusting opened pot of yoghourt, which was embarrassingly out of date and had slid to the back of the fridge out of normal sight, although the different kinds of mould on it were quite fascinating.

Day #291 of a 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by theĀ OED word of the day.
