There isn’t much in the way of “eatertainment” (‘An experience which combines eating with entertainment; spec. the sector of the restaurant industry comprising restaurant chains based on an entertainment theme, such as sport, music, or film.’, OED) in the depths of the countryside, so I thought I’d create my own. But the wi-fi here is so impossibly slow – the screen message informed me it was going to take 2 hours 27 minutes to download one episode of The Big Bang Theory. There was, therefore, no entertainment accompanying the eating tonight.
