160814 The Malison of Oxford Street

In something of a mad dash this morning, I scanned and misread the OED email, such that I spent the day looking for ‘a cure’. I thought some retail shopping therapy on Oxford Street would fit the bill nicely. However, on uploading my pic, I realised that the email actually said that “malison” means ‘A curse, a malediction’ (I guess the clue was in the “mal”). Anyway, shopping can be as much of a curse as a cure, so the pic’s staying!

Day #225 of a 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by theĀ OED word of the day.
