“Beauté du diable” means ‘Beauty that is associated with youth; esp. transient and superficial attractiveness and charm, often associated with a mischievous or rakish personality.’ (OED) Well, for the ‘beauty associated with youth, it had to be a selfie (taken on the bus to get that nice grubby reflection). I’ve had some good schooling this week in self-aggrandizement, so putting into practice what I’ve learned;-) Thought I’d provide a few enhancements in keeping with the diable aspect of the phrase.
