131113 Dog and Bones

131113_LRI don’t know where I stand on dog coats. On the one hand, I often find they look really stupid and question whether dogs need them because of their fur coats (the attached ones, that is, not the mink variety). I always imagine some Gary Larsonesque conversation about owners’ bad taste. On the other hand, when it’s cold out there, why shouldn’t the mutts have little coats? This is one of the more interesting canine outfits I’ve seen. I think it was designed for dogs as the face above the bones is dog shaped, but from some angles, it looks remarkably like a jumper knitted by an aunt for a teenage niece, where auntie hasn’t quite managed to get the skull right. Teenage niece, feeling too guilt-ridden to bin it, has then cut the arms off and stuffed poor Fido in it.
