You can pull up outside but then the clock starts ticking – find wheelchair park, find a pound coin, transfer patient, run 1/2 a kilometre since the department you want is at the back of the building, dump patient, run back, retrieve pound coin and get back to the car with seconds to spare to see the look of disappointment on the parking attendant’s face as he realises you have been able to complete this test in less than 20 minutes!
