My facsimile paperback copy of Croker’s book arrived today and I am none the wiser about where the boundaries of this project should lie. I started out working on the basis that it would be the entire borough, but there is so much to photograph locally, that I want to reduce the boundaries to “Chelsea Pure”, but defining the boundaries is proving problematic – there seems to be something of a lack of agreement where the north and northwest boundaries lie. I therefore have to make up my own boundaries to fit the project (never let the truth get in the way of a good story!) or restrict it to SW3 … hmmm, decisions, decision. Todays flaneuring was around SW7 and what a grey day it was – so nothing very exciting, just a new piece of railing litter.
