Another image for my time-capsule. Continuing the theme of food and kitchens, this is the steamer. I use the steamer a lot, as it prevents scalding hand-burning when it comes to draining, I can cook a whole variety of stuff in one pot (and only use one ring), it is, of course, a healthy option and I also like photographing the reflections in it. I’m putting it in the time-capsule because I suspect in the future that all steamers will be plug-in, self-timing and emit an appropriate noise when the vegetables are cooked to perfection (no crunchy or soggy stuff in the kitchen of 2093). The reflections show an aloe-vera plant (we snap the stems and use the jelly for rubbing on burns) and a box of Kleenex, for despite the advances in medicine and technology, there is still no cure for the common cold.
