Back with a new look!
Having had a reflective summer, I’ve realised that my relationship with my photography has much more to do with the story behind the pictures, the accompanying adventures and social observation, than it has to do with the pictures themselves. So with the help of Planet Twig, we’ve revamped the website to reflect this and the new look is more of a scrapbook, a journal and an observation post.
Until the end of November, the blog spot will largely be about The Phantom Pen – my code name for the novel I haven’t started yet. But photography won’t be disappearing completely, as I’ll be blogging from the IPE, Paris Photo and EMOP in Vienna.
And I can’t think of a better way to start the new blog than with a few pictures from my spiritual home. Last week was a Vienna week, where the sun was still shining and the temperatures were in the high twenties. It was a busy week, but I had enough ‘me time’ to meet up with old chums and have a few trips down memory lane. At the risk of falling into the Viennese cliché, I also consumed the odd sausage (including a Käsekrainer at the famous Wurstelstand 49er), a bit of cake and a few coffees along the way.
