210314_LRThere aren’t many ways of interpreting octothorp, as it is a relatively new word (attested 1960s) and only has one meaning: ‘The hash sign (#), as it appears on the buttons of touch-tone telephones and some other keypads’ (OED). But after snapping a few dull grey keypads, I was lucky enough to find this bright red phone.
